Where and when we meet
Every other Monday, 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., in Room 127
We meet every other Monday after school, always on a B day. Our first regular member meeting is Monday, September 21, and the next one is Monday, October 19. There's no meeting on October 5, since it's an FCPS non-student day.
You don't need to bring anything, and you're welcome at your first meeting before you've even joined. Once you're a member, attendance is required, so if you can't make it, please let Mr. Hoertz or Mr. Hackman know before the meeting starts.
Deadlines worth remembering
Dues: Friday, September 25
Dues are $35 and due on the last school day before fall break. We need them before we submit our chapter roster to DECA, and only students on the roster can compete, so this is the one deadline to set a reminder for.
Written event uploads
A written event is one you prepare as a document and submit ahead of time. Entries upload to DECA by 11:59 p.m. in your time zone on the deadline date. There are no extensions, and the system closes right on the minute, so it pays to finish early.
Conference registration
Registration for Regional, State, and ICDC closes weeks before each conference. Keep an eye on the calendar, and we'll announce each deadline at a meeting.
